A few conversations that took place in the last few days. I really need to find a few good one liners I can say in response to people....have some fun with them :)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At a garage sale (Ariella was sleeping in the car):
Lady: "That's a pack 'n play"
Me: "Yeah, I know...I have 2 of them"
Lady: "Oh, do you do daycare?"
(I always love that question...)
Me: "No, I just have a lot of little kids."
::Silence::
Lady: "Well, how many kids do you have?"
Me: "Four"
::Silence again::
Lady: "You don't even look old enough to have one!"
Should I take that as a compliment or an insult????
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At another garage sale:
Lady: "Oh cute...Is she your first?"
(I always love this question too...)
Me: "Nope, she's my fourth."
::Mouths drop while making short grunting noises::
Lady: "You hardly look old enough to have that one!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At Walmart at the checkout:
Lady: "Hi, Kids! Do you do daycare?"
Me (smiling): "Nope"
::Silence::
(I think this silence part usually comes from lack of knowing what to say to me....and it's usually followed by this.....)
Lady: "Well, then...you're a busy lady!"
Nothing like stating the OBVIOUS!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At Walmart at the checkout when our 13 yr old niece was with me--all the kids were at home--and it was the day after the schools in Seward got done for the summer:
Lady: "You girls glad to be out of school?!"
Me: "Uh, what did you say?" (making sure I heard her correctly...)
Lady: "Are you girls glad schools done?"
Me: "Oh, well she's not from around here" (pointing to Jenna)
It was then that I realized she was talking to both of us, so I continued...
Me: "And I've been out of school for a long time."
Lady: "Oh, sorry!"
It wasn't until I got to the car that I realized I should have told her I'm married with 4 children...that really would have shocked her!!
Even after 5.5 years of life on the road is finally done, the excitement continues while raising our six children...all while relying on God's grace.

Breakfast
This is what I make for the kids and myself when I don't have anything planned for the morning, or when we just want something extremely sweet and delicious for breakfast!!!
In a blender put:
3 cups raw milk
1 cup (about) frozen strawberries
1 cup (about) frozen blueberries
1 banana
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
Blend til smooth!
Serving suggestion: Drink til your heart's stomach's content and serve with a side of fresh homemade bread, toasted with butter for a very quick, healthy and filling breakfast!!!
Yum Yum!!
Go ahead...make it with whatever fruit suits your fancy!! Enjoy!!

This One's For You, Alban!
I was chattin' with our friend Al who lives in France (who used to live in the same apt building as us in Luverne) yesterday on Facebook. He was saying that it was 90 degrees there, which I wasn't so jealous about since it was in the 90s here too last weekend, but talking with him gave me the great idea to make "Al's dish" for supper tonight!! If you remember this post, it was where Al made a wonderful "French" supper for us and it was fabulous! I even had all the ingredients for it already so I was set! Al requested I take a few pictures of us making it and eating....so Al, this post is for you!!
Caedmon's chowin'
Tiernan, Ariella, & Daddy stop to say Hi to Al too!
And, just so you know.....this is the biggest compliment any chef can get from Nathan....laying down on the kitchen floor after a meal....that means it was delicious!! (and also that he ate so much since it was so good that he has a hard time moving and has to stretch himself out so the food settles a little :)
So thanks again Alban!!! We miss you!!
**just a reminder for those of you who live in the St Cloud area: Go to Laura's garage sale starting tomorrow (june 4th!) and find some treasures!! I hear she's got some pretty awesome stuff there!! See this post for directions.

My 4 Babes
Can ya guess who's who???

Actually, I'm sure it was pretty easy....I didn't want to search though all of my pictures on the computer I have of the boys so I just snapped a couple pictures from their baby books :) They are all about the same ages in these pictures...a little over 2 months. Just in case you needed help, the first picture is of Brayan, then Tiernan, then Ariella, and then Caedmon.

You guys are crackin' us up with your votes about who Ariella resembles the most!! :) Keep the votes coming! Also, if you've never signed my guest book and you're reading this, please sign it! I like to know who I'm writing to :) Thanks!!
We went to the zoo today....I'll have pics up shortly!

All 6 of us
Awww, how sweet! I'd say that's a beautiful lookin' family if you ask me! What? You didn't ask me? Oh...well...it's my blog!
So I have plenty of things that I have been meaning to post with tons of more pics, etc so I will try to find the time to post a little more often. I'm sure I'll have time between changing 2 diapered butts, taking Caedmon potty, nursing the baby, making meals, making bread, making yogurt, getting together Nathan's lunches, smiling & cooing with the baby, doing laundry, refereeing, disciplining, washing hands, giving baths, working out, going to the park, hanging clothes on the line, sweeping, teaching, reading to the kids, building forts, shootin' the guns (play-of course!), cleaning up spills, fetching rolls of toilet paper out of the toilet, finding nuks, and playing dress up

Proof
Since we have started our workout routines (which was this past Monday because after we started the first time, we decided to wait until we got the "boot camp" P90X in the mail so Nathan could do that), we've been following their nutrition plan as well. It is basically a lot of protein and veggies with low carbs for the first 30 days and then after that you start adding in more carbs as you go. This is proof that we are following the plan. Here are pictures of what my fridge looked like as of tonight. I wanted something to eat that wasn't necessarily a chunk of meat, a carrot, or an egg....I guess that's not an option. And, I think we need a larger refrigerator....
yep...ya got 2 bags of romaine, 2 heads of cauliflower, brocolli, hard boiled eggs, celery, and more eggs...and a bunch more veggies you can't see.
