Where's Tiernan?

.......Oh, just climbing the walls again.......

Almost there.......

Got it!!!!! He was so excited!!

Who needs a jungle gym when you have a doorway!

Yikes!!! Sorry, sorry, sorry for the delay in posting!!! It's already been over a week since I've posted! Where does the time go?!? Days seem to fly by and 'down time' hardly makes an appearance at the Legatt house. When it does, I usually fill it with doing things around the house, putting together projects for my kids, or just spending some time with the hubby! But I do still have a bunch of 'stuff' I need to get on here....so just hang in there...it'll be coming!!

Here are the pictures that I mentioned in the last post that were taken by our niece Jenna when she stayed with the boys a couple hours while we ran to town. I can tell they had fun! :)

G & G Legatt & Jenna visit!!!

Over Memorial Day weekend, Nathan's parents came down for the weekend to visit! When they pulled in the driveway at 10:45pm, Nathan looked out and said "There's someone with them!" After looking closer, he said, "It's Jenna!" Our 13 yr old niece (Nathan's oldest sister's daughter) came with them as a surprise to us and the kids. It was nice to see her (we haven't seen her since Christmas) and the boys, especially Tiernan, loved her!!! She even watched the boys for a couple hours while we ran to Lincoln to the health food store to get some suppliments, etc. Pictures that she took while we were gone are coming soon! Here are some pics of their visit!

Grandma's playing "Go Fish!" with Tiernan!

Having a picnic at the park, it was nice out and we had great company!

Could I Pass for 16???...Guess so!!

A few conversations that took place in the last few days. I really need to find a few good one liners I can say in response to people....have some fun with them :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At a garage sale (Ariella was sleeping in the car):

Lady: "That's a pack 'n play"

Me: "Yeah, I know...I have 2 of them"

Lady: "Oh, do you do daycare?"

(I always love that question...)

Me: "No, I just have a lot of little kids."

::Silence::

Lady: "Well, how many kids do you have?"

Me: "Four"

::Silence again::

Lady: "You don't even look old enough to have one!"

Should I take that as a compliment or an insult????

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At another garage sale:

Lady: "Oh cute...Is she your first?"

(I always love this question too...)

Me: "Nope, she's my fourth."

::Mouths drop while making short grunting noises::

Lady: "You hardly look old enough to have that one!"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At Walmart at the checkout:

Lady: "Hi, Kids! Do you do daycare?"

Me (smiling): "Nope"

::Silence::

(I think this silence part usually comes from lack of knowing what to say to me....and it's usually followed by this.....)

Lady: "Well, then...you're a busy lady!"

Nothing like stating the OBVIOUS!!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At Walmart at the checkout when our 13 yr old niece was with me--all the kids were at home--and it was the day after the schools in Seward got done for the summer:

Lady: "You girls glad to be out of school?!"

Me: "Uh, what did you say?" (making sure I heard her correctly...)

Lady: "Are you girls glad schools done?"

Me: "Oh, well she's not from around here" (pointing to Jenna)

It was then that I realized she was talking to both of us, so I continued...

Me: "And I've been out of school for a long time."

Lady: "Oh, sorry!"

It wasn't until I got to the car that I realized I should have told her I'm married with 4 children...that really would have shocked her!!

Breakfast

This is what I make for the kids and myself when I don't have anything planned for the morning, or when we just want something extremely sweet and delicious for breakfast!!!

My recipe:

In a blender put:
3 cups raw milk
1 cup (about) frozen strawberries
1 cup (about) frozen blueberries
1 banana
1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Blend til smooth!

Serving suggestion: Drink til your heart's stomach's content and serve with a side of fresh homemade bread, toasted with butter for a very quick, healthy and filling breakfast!!!

Yum Yum!!

Go ahead...make it with whatever fruit suits your fancy!! Enjoy!!

This One's For You, Alban!

I was chattin' with our friend Al who lives in France (who used to live in the same apt building as us in Luverne) yesterday on Facebook. He was saying that it was 90 degrees there, which I wasn't so jealous about since it was in the 90s here too last weekend, but talking with him gave me the great idea to make "Al's dish" for supper tonight!! If you remember this post, it was where Al made a wonderful "French" supper for us and it was fabulous! I even had all the ingredients for it already so I was set! Al requested I take a few pictures of us making it and eating....so Al, this post is for you!!

Brayan helpin' me stir before adding the chicken.

Brayan says 'cheese'

Tiernan, Ariella, & Daddy stop to say Hi to Al too!

And, just so you know.....this is the biggest compliment any chef can get from Nathan....laying down on the kitchen floor after a meal....that means it was delicious!! (and also that he ate so much since it was so good that he has a hard time moving and has to stretch himself out so the food settles a little :)
So thanks again Alban!!! We miss you!!

**just a reminder for those of you who live in the St Cloud area: Go to Laura's garage sale starting tomorrow (june 4th!) and find some treasures!! I hear she's got some pretty awesome stuff there!! See this post for directions.

All In A Day's Work

I thought I'd share just a few of the things that occupy my day....

Brayan got into the loose leaf tea....and he dropped one jar on top of the other...and it broke.

Brayan (again) got into the grocery bags and dish soap

And Brayan (yet again!--the other boys do stuff too, I just happen to take pics of Brayans :) opened up all my little packets of hot cocoa and decided to play with it on the floor

Tiernan threw a match box car at the mirror that was hanging on the bathroom door downstairs and was surprised when the above happened. Keep in mind those are only the big pieces that you see....there were about a gazillon tiny slivers everywhere on the carpet.
::sigh:: All in a day's work! (Well, at least when you have 3 boys age 4, 2-1/2, & 1-1/2!)
