My 4 Babes

Can ya guess who's who???

Actually, I'm sure it was pretty easy....I didn't want to search though all of my pictures on the computer I have of the boys so I just snapped a couple pictures from their baby books :) They are all about the same ages in these pictures...a little over 2 months. Just in case you needed help, the first picture is of Brayan, then Tiernan, then Ariella, and then Caedmon.
You guys are crackin' us up with your votes about who Ariella resembles the most!! :) Keep the votes coming! Also, if you've never signed my guest book and you're reading this, please sign it! I like to know who I'm writing to :) Thanks!!
We went to the zoo today....I'll have pics up shortly!

All 6 of us

Awww, how sweet! I'd say that's a beautiful lookin' family if you ask me! What? You didn't ask me? Oh...well...it's my blog!

So I have plenty of things that I have been meaning to post with tons of more pics, etc so I will try to find the time to post a little more often. I'm sure I'll have time between changing 2 diapered butts, taking Caedmon potty, nursing the baby, making meals, making bread, making yogurt, getting together Nathan's lunches, smiling & cooing with the baby, doing laundry, refereeing, disciplining, washing hands, giving baths, working out, going to the park, hanging clothes on the line, sweeping, teaching, reading to the kids, building forts, shootin' the guns (play-of course!), cleaning up spills, fetching rolls of toilet paper out of the toilet, finding nuks, and playing dress up with on Ariella....oh, and spending time with my hubby....yeah, I'll find the time...

Proof

Since we have started our workout routines (which was this past Monday because after we started the first time, we decided to wait until we got the "boot camp" P90X in the mail so Nathan could do that), we've been following their nutrition plan as well. It is basically a lot of protein and veggies with low carbs for the first 30 days and then after that you start adding in more carbs as you go. This is proof that we are following the plan. Here are pictures of what my fridge looked like as of tonight. I wanted something to eat that wasn't necessarily a chunk of meat, a carrot, or an egg....I guess that's not an option. And, I think we need a larger refrigerator....

yep...ya got 2 bags of romaine, 2 heads of cauliflower, brocolli, hard boiled eggs, celery, and more eggs...and a bunch more veggies you can't see.

Then ya have cheese, yogurt starter (I make my own yogurt), meat, meat and more meat (natural, of course, with no nitrates or preservatives), cottage cheese, chicken, veggies in the tupperware, 2 pkgs hamburger, oh...and more chicken in that blue ziploc :)

....and if you open the drawers you get carrots, string cheese, more carrots, tomatoes, more cheese, and a bag of dried cherries :)

Today, I called 911

As I was standing at my counter in the kitchen, mixing stevia and lemon extract into my homemade yogurt (yum!!), I heard this loud crash. I looked out my living room window and saw a car plowing into another car while the first one she hit was still moving from the impact. Then I watched as she jumped the curb and went into our lawn, smashing our mailbox (the whole thing, including the pole, is gone). She continued driving on our grass, back onto the street, and then back up onto the neighbors lawn and once again back onto the street before she ran a stop sign and finally came to a stop in the gravel yard of the cement plant down the block.

I automatically assumed the person driving was having a medical emergency (heart attack or seizure or something) and lost control of the vehicle. So I quickly found my phone and dialed 911. I told them there was an accident on the street I live on and didn't know if anyone was hurt. There were other neighbors outside and one quickly ran to the vehicles she hit to see if anyone was in them...there wasn't, they were parked on the street. So then she quickly ran to the out of control car and, to my surprise, an old lady got out and was talking with her...apparently not a medical emergency.

So the excitment continued when 3 cop cars arrived, followed later by a fire and rescue truck and then lastly an ambulance. They finally carried her off on a stretcher, which I'm assuming was for precautionary measures. I would be very curious as to what happened to her to make her drive so recklessly and then stand outside her vehicle and talk to people like it was no big deal...hmm...

If I ever hear, I'll let ya know! In the meantime, I've called our landlord to tell him we need a new mailbox. (good thing I had already gotten the mail!!)

The cars she hit first

Where her car finally stopped, with her standing outside of it talking with the police.

See that black thing laying on the sidewalk just down from the blue van? Yeah...that's our mailbox, a good 50 ft or so from where it should be.

Her finally being taken away on the stretcher

Get Rid of Stuff & Buy Some More!!

"One man's junk is another man's treasure."

My friend Laura, that I told you about in this post, is having a fundraising garage sale during the Rice "city wide" garage sales June 4th, 5th, & 6th. Between now and then, she is taking anyone's donations of "stuff" that they don't want anymore to sell at her sale. All of the money raised will go directly toward their adoption fund to get their children home.

The sale will begin at 7am each day. Even if you don't have anything you need to get rid of, please stop by her house and shop for some 'treasures'!!!

Address:
9605 Sucker Creek Rd
Rice, MN 56367

Directions: From St. Cloud....Take Hwy 10 N towards Rice and turn Right onto Mayhew Lake Rd (the last turn before the bridge crossing over Mayhew Lake before Rumors). Take Mayhew Lake for about 1/2 mile and turn Right onto Sucker Creek. She's the 4th house in. There will be signs.

If you have stuff...anything, in any amount...that you would like to drop off before then, please contact Laura at 320.393.3388 and you can figure out a time that works!

Oh! And just to let you know....they were able to raise enough money through LifeSong to qualify for the complete match!!! And on top of that, they got even more donations, making their total donations through LifeSong $12,500!!! WOW!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone that gave so generously, you are making an eternal impact and I know the Swenson family is very grateful! Please continue to pray for them!

So go search your house, get rid of a few things and then stop back at the sale and find your treasures!!

Who Says Learning Has To Be Boring?!

(I've done a few different posts today, so make sure you scroll down and can see them all! I had a lot to post today!! :)

I've been working for a couple days on making educational activites for my boys to do. They need stuff to keep their hands and minds busy, or they are into everything they are not supposed to be! I didn't want to spend a lot of money, but did spend a little on some beads, etc....but I wanted to mostly use what we already have. Two things we have a lot of are cardboard boxes (imagine that!?!) and stickers...so I put two and two together. The kids LOVE doing their activities and don't even know they are learning at the same time! Tiernan was doing a bunch of these yesterday and after he was done he said "Ok Mom, now I want to do school." I was like "Tiernan, you are doing school!....This is school!" :) He was having such a good time. I still need to rack my brain though for harder ones to come up with since Tiernan's pretty quick with these. If you have any good ideas, let me know!

Tiernan "sewing" with yarn and cardboard. I made a lot of these of all different shapes and sizes. Some of them I wrote numbers by and he has to follow them like dot to dot and when he's done, he has a sewn a pattern of some sort, ie: a house. He likes those.

Making the alphabet

Sorting the animals that live on land vs in the water

matching game

Matching upper case letters with lower case

Putting beads on pipe cleaners...they all loved this!

Sorting coins into egg cartons

adding the stickers and finding the right number for the answer

finding pairs of 2 things that go together
